About

DSC_2696A thirty something year old who’s oddly quiet (according to others), smart, sensitive, and mysterious. The word alien came to mind once when asked to describe myself in one word during one of those silly ice breaker activities. It takes a while to truly get to  know me.  I guess this is why I’m extremely loyal to the handful of friends I possess. I despise people who take themselves TOO seriously all the time. Laughter and fun are important…Loving and giving are essential. To say “I like to write” wouldn’t be really comprehensive. Writing is something that consumes me at random times. And if it’s not consuming me, it’s haunting me until I get whatever it is out on a page. I love music, movies (horror especially), and hanging out in intimate groups of close friends.

In my mid-twenties, I was diagnosed with the chronic auto-immune disease called lupus. It changed my life to say the least. The decision to start this blog was fueled by thoughts and memories of my emotional and physical journey with lupus. I’m also inspired to share where I am today and things I’m doing and trying in my spiritual and physical quest for wellness. So that’s me in a nutshell. I hope you’ll continue to read and grow with me 🙂

DISCLAIMER: There will be times when I may share recipes, regimens, alternative methods or medicines. Obviously I have had no medical or holistic training of any sort. This blog principally serves to chronicle my journey, not give medical advice. For those with lupus, I advise you to consult with a medical professional before making any strict dietary or medication changes.
